Probiotic Q&A

Q: What is RiceJogurt?

A: Made of brown Rice, papaya and seaweed, our RiceJogurt is fermented by a set of health microbes including Saccharomyces cerevisiae, Lactobacillus casei, L. bulgaricus, L. plantarum, L. fermentum, palustris. Each ingredient has been carefully selected and repeatedly screened to produce the best probiotic products that are most suitable for human intestinal environment.

Q: How to take Rice Jogurt?

A: The best time for having the products is the period of stomach empty, i.e. before breakfast and dinner. To promote the probiotics to easily get into the gut, it’s better to have 7.0 oz warm water each before and after having the products. If you don’t like to have cold foods, you may warm the products in room temperatures for 15 minutes in advance. Or, you may have the product one or two hours after meals, if you feel it too sour. You may also mix the products with Honey, juice, milk, soy milk whatever you like, but all of them should be below 95.0 F in temperature. Take around 2 tablespoons or more each day as required. The expiration date will be 2 months from the product making date as shown on the label.

Q: What are probiotics

A: WHO’s definition of probiotics (2001):Live micro-organisms which, when administered in adequate amounts, confer a health benefit on the host.  Although people often think of bacteria and other microbes as harmful “germs,” many are actually helpful. Some bacteria help digest food by producing enzyme, destroy disease-causing cells and bad gut bacteria, or produce vitamins. Many of the microbes in probiotic products are the same as or similar to microbes that naturally live in our bodies.

Q: What types of bacteria are in probiotics?

A: Probiotics may contain a variety of microbes and the most common belong to groups called Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium. Different types of probiotics may have different effects. We created our probiotics to have a wide range of beneficial effect.

Q: How does your probiotics work?

A: As live microbes with their metabolites, Ricejogurt can play roles immediately after consumption, and when the microbes enter the human intestinal tract, they will "stick" to the intestinal wall. Hundreds of millions of the microbes as a microbial community are ready to provide the human body with all kinds of beneficial metabolites. These metabolites are not only those defined long time ago by medical science for the  gastrointestinal functions, such as promoting digestion and absorption of the gastrointestinal tract, providing various essential amino acids, various vitamins, maintaining the beneficial acidic environment of the intestinal tract, inhibiting the growth of harmful bacteria and so on. More importantly, these metabolites also contain a variety of substances necessary for the health and functions of other organs of the human body, such as the special small molecules in the operation of the brain-intestine axis and the liver-intestine axis, the regulatory factors of bone production, routine clearance of the cardiovascular vessels, the regulation of blood glucose and blood lipid, the maintenance and activation of the immune system and so on. It has been reported that 36% of small molecules in human blood are produced by intestinal flora, and the ultimate goal of probiotics is to optimally supply these indispensable metabolites.

Q: What is the gut microbiota?

A: The sum of microbes in the gut.

Q: I have IBS (irritable bowel syndrome). Will this help?

A: We have heard many positive feedback from our customers. Main reason is that ours attaches themselves on the lining wall of your intestine, always working, creating enzyme to break down the food and actively fight the bad bacteria, instead of other probiotics which gets flushed out of your system after you consume it.

Q: Why are you using Rice as "yogurt" in your probiotic?

A: We use rice as a host to let our microbes feed and grow from it, keeping them alive and mature to be strong.

Q: When will I see the effect of the probiotic?

A: Effectiveness will vary from person to person. The more serious issue you have, the sooner you will see the effect take place. For those with IBS, you may experience result after several servings. Those who are relatively healthy, your rebalancing may be more subtle but you may feel better over time. We recommend twice a day for those with serious issues and once a day usage for more healthy users. We also recommend continue daily usage as a regimen to stay healthy.

Q: Can I over consume this / any side effects?

A: Our probiotics is generally well tolerated and considered safe for most people. You may experience gas or mild abdominal discomfort from consuming large amount at a time. We recommend you follow the twice a day dosage for maximum effectiveness.

Q: Do I really need to refrigerate these?

A: Yes, because these are alive, they need to be refrigerated and kept away from direct sunlight which may kill them. Each package has a manufactured date. It is good for up to 8 weeks. We recommend you consume it as soon as possible and to use a clean dry spoon to serve each time so that no bad bacteria are introduced into the container.

Q: Wow, I really like this and can't wait to share with the world my success story of this product. How?

A: We have a review and testimonial section. Please leave a review and we would love to hear your story.
